Adding Dotted Lines to Forms
This ITip is aimed at those producing some sort of form in Word. It explains how to use tab stops to put ...'s next to a field name in a way that the edges line up throughout the form.
Type in the field name (e.g. Name).
Click in the horizontal ruler (found above the document) to place a tab stop in the desired position.
Double click on the tab stop that you added to reveal the Tabs dialogue.
- Select a Leader from the given options.
- Select OK to close the dialogue.
Press [Tab] to add the selected leader characters.
