This ITip explains how you can move windows around your desktop and size them to suit.
Starting with the Title Bar (the bar along the top of a window):
To move a window:
press and hold in the left mouse button on the Title Bar (but not on one of the buttons at the right hand side), drag the window to the desired position and then release the mouse button to drop it.
N.B. This operation is known as drag and drop or click and drag.
The buttons at the right hand side of the Title Bar are used as follows:
Minimise
The Minimise button will allow you to shrink the window. The window does not close; you will notice an icon appears on the Taskbar (the grey bar usually found at the bottom of the screen),
click on this icon to return the window to its original size.
Maximise
The Maximise button will allow you to stretch the window to the full size of the screen. This button will change to allow you to restore the window to its original size.
Restore
When a window has been maximised this button allows you to return the window to its' previous size.
Close
This will close the window (as with
selecting Exit from the File menu).
You can resize a window using the Maximise and Restore buttons.
For more control you can drag and drop the edges of the window to the desired position.
Resize Corner
Using the mouse, the Resize Corner can be dragged and dropped allowing you change the width and height of a window at the same time. (you may find the other comers can be moved in the same way).
